The Simviation forum members count shows we have 27150 registered members. I'm just curious as to how many active contributing members we have at this time. Just a ball park figure. From looking at the on-line and guest count from day to day I'm guessing not more then a hundred or so. This is such a great forum. Why would so many drift away? Just something to ponder on.
Thanks for anyone's thoughts on this question.

When I came to Japan, I was captured by Gozilla as I stepped off the train in Tokyo. So that he would spare my life, I made Godzilla a deal: he could eat every other member that logged in to SimV. I am terribly sorry for the inconvenience, but you realize that Godzilla is very, very intimidating, yes? I am sure anyone would've panicked!

It will be a few hundred at any one time. About 300 regulars visit daily & they will come & go so are rarely on at any one time.
Another aspect is that people regulary pop back from weeks, months, even years back - so all in all there are a few 1000 out of that who still use the forums. I guess it is like the hobby itself - people regularly leave it for a while.
I personally rarely use forums but those that I do I will often only use 3 times in 2 years.
I would be annoyed if I went back to a site 3 years later to find I had to re-register. There are people like me here too.
Think Global. It's the world we live in.

Thanks for for replying Pete. I have been a member going on two years now, and I'm still going strong. Being retired I am here on and off everyday. That's why I never log off. I really enjoy the site and have met a lot of friendly fellow flight simmers.
