Today, I stumbled upon a sum of money Smiley

Lets see here and look into my infinate power of foresight.......an interest yielding savings account?...hmmm, thats a good idea, but wait I see more.....is it?  yes it could be-> airplanes and cameras Grin

Still trying to decide.  My parents claim they will buy me a lens for my b-day, but thats in June.  Can I wait?  Or will my bachelor style of living with instant gratification overcome me?  I also have to consider my upcoming tax return and my upcoming loan payments.  Tongue

Lucky you, please tell me the exact location where you sumbled over the money, I could use some too...  Grin

It's hard, isn't it? Deciding what to do?

At the moment I'm looking into some investments for my camera too

I need a flash, fast standardlens and a 200-700 f2.8 ( they really need to do a review on the new Tamron). I don't dare to make a calculation on what this might cost me....

And believe me, there's always someting else you could spend the money on.

But in your case I'd be thinking of your future and try to save it now... You might want to find a place for yourself for instance and those things don't come cheap...

Good luck on deciding...  Wink

If you've been promised a lense even if it means waiting just wait. Theres no point spending unnessicary money. I may sound boring but if you have loan debts then pay them off. Or some off so you can save money that you earn instead of spending it.

Whoa!  Don't have that much Grin

BTW:  I have a fast enough car, any faster would just get me into trouble.  Last year with my current car I got caught goin' 93mph in a 65 zone.  Luckily the officer reduced it to a 74mph ticket, thereby making it a "non-moving" violation Roll Eyes  Maybe he saw that I was one of the fellas who fuel the P.D. helo Cool

we call that motorway driving. Although in general if the weather allows it cops dont care till you hit 100mph. below it, its paperwork for nothing more than a ticket and license points. Above and they hit the jackpot. Wink

They wouldn't need to arrest me if we had a decent road course.  The only one in the city is a park, which is used once a year.  The only decent one in the state is in Topeka, 2 hrs away.
