Has any one tried this freeware.http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/ If so what do you think about it? The pros and cons. I'm trying it out at this time. So far so good.

Got it today. Idle temp, is exactly the same as displayed  in BIOS. Seems pretty accurate to me. Smiley

I used coretemp while overclocking my q6600. Never had any problems with it.

Speedfan has a 15°C error on the individual core temperatures (or some temps, but there is a huge error).  Core temp is what I used when I overclocked my processor.

Here are my Speedfan temps:

The Core 1,2,3,4 temps are all ~15°C below what they really are, but the CPU temp is pretty close.  If you are worried about temps or want to overclock or something, I would go with Core Temp.

My speedfan does not say AUX or cpu. maybe my cpu does not have temp reedings Cheesy

CoreTemp has issues with Vista 64-bit..

Is there a freeware version of Everest?

All that I can find is a payware version with a 30 free trial and from what I can see after the 30 days is up it is $34.95 or do you think that the Ultimate edition is worth the $34.95 for what it monitors?
