Some people around may know that I've been ridiculously busy recently, and will be until the end of next week.....this is because of an unfortunate scheduling mistake meaning there are two plays and a concert within 2 weeks of each other in my school theatre.

I work as part of the stage crew (on sound) and so have to come in for rehearsals etc.

So, last Sunday it all started with a tech rehearsal for a play, the dress was on Monday after school, I had Orchestra rehearsal on Tuesday, and then the performances on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. This evening I was at a house concert, and tomorrow I'm going in to repaint the floor and put up a whole new lighting rig, before another tech on Sunday, another dress on monday and two more perfomances on Wednesday and Thursday.

So, enough of the explanation, heres a few pics Cheesy

This is a nice overview of the theatre, it seats 150 and we were sold out tonight. Note the hastily rigged red curtain (an hour before the show Cheesy)

My toy.....our lovely sound desk Cheesy

And an overview of the box, with sound in the foreground, the spot in the middle and lighting at the far end Cheesy

Just thought I'd share Smiley

Nice shots!

Oh man how I hate the guys who are in charge of the sound desks Grin

Almost every time I've played with my band the volume on each instrument was not right.... Undecided Even having tested the sound before... Some of them just don't care  Angry

Hope you're not like that Grin

LOL- yes... "the roar of the greasepaint, the smell of the crowd"... nothing like doing it live in front of real paying customers; no "do-overs". I miss that sometimes.

I've played in the pit, mixed front of house and monitors and live TV feeds, called shows, built shows, done rigging, lights, etc...but I'd also rather just play drums in the pit, I think. Grin

It's nice to see some pics like this, mostly because I never took any backstage so far.   Wink

It's pretty simple really....tracks 1,2,3 and 4 are the mic ports down on the stage, tracks 5 and 6 normally have my iPod plugged into them. Tracks 7 and 8 are the CD player/Minidisk player. Track 17 is my god mic Cheesy

Bottom sliders control volume, sliders on far right are masters. Gain is top knob, with all those below it for EQ.
