Take it away, Judge Mic:

Ok here we go....

1....An225

...

Cracking shot....really moody and full of action.

I love the fading sky to blackness showing the high altitude, and the lighting is brilliant.

Lovely panoramic shot full of colour  Cool

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNERS!!

An-225's COD4 screenartistry has netted him the top spot in this comp. Check out his short, sweet and effective guide on how to shoot screenies like a pro in COD4 in the Cage!

A US Army tank being loaded into a C-17 Globemaster III at Howard AFB, Panama. The United Stated closed its regional army headquarters in Panama on July 30, 1999, formally ending an 88-year military presence in the Central American nation. Command shifts to Puerto Rico as the Panama Canal hand-over loomed.

I don't know if this is the place, but I heard today that Major Shipman, former CO of the 458th FS/506th FG has passed away at the age of 87.
The 506th flew P-51's from Iwo Jima on escort missions over Japan, the longest fighter missions ever flown, sometimes lasting over 8 hours..
I have painted a lot of 506th Mustangs, including his plane, #550 "Madam Wham Dam". This is a shot honouring major Shipman, who has parted on his last mission. Consider it out of competition.
