I was watching "UFO Files" last night and it made me wonder ... has anyone ever thought of creating an add-on that would generate random UFO sightings while flying in FSX? In real life, it is not uncommon for pilots to see and report unidentified phenomenon and I think it would be kind of cool if someone developed this add-on.

Yes, and I have done the "High Altitude Intercept" also but that is not exactly what I am talking about.

I am talking about an add-on that would pertain to "free flight" and randomly place different types of UFO's around the world at different times and places. In other words, you never know when or where you might see one.

If you could design a program that would generate a bgl file that changes the lat/lon each time you start the sim...it'd be interesting.  Grin

Well sadly, my knowledge of computers and programming are EXTREMELY limited so don't look to me! LOL.

Even an add-on that would place them at various places in the world would be cool. Weather can be generated and even controlled, why not UFO sightings?

Cheesy  Why don't you download one from miscellanious files and create a traffic file for it.  In FS9 it's pretty easy to do.  Have them start and end at remote airports that you never use and give them a destination half way around the world at another remote airport.  That way you could crisscross the globe with however many you decide upon.
