I agree, although I don't really like to clutter the forum with many different threads from one day out, so the text links were my compromise. Wink

Yeah, but the traffic involved in SimV visitors viewing pics on photobucket while on the site is more of a problem than clutter... hence the "no linking" rule. Wink

I know it's a drag to do multiple uploads, but "rules are rules".

BTW... these are excellent pics; I should mention that, Grin

The way I do it, either by text link or thumbnails (with the displayed thumbnail uploaded to Simviation), the Photobucket images aren't automatically loaded, as they would be if I posted them in image tags. You'd have to click the link yourself to take you to Photobucket. Surely there's no difference between that and posting a link to "www.google.com"? Correct me if I'm wrong...

Of course, if that is indeed against the rules, then you'll simply see less photos at a time from me. Like I say, I won't post "Waddington International Airshow: Part 20" (nor will I want to upload heaps of photos again to several different servers, for that matter). Tongue

But thanks anyway! Grin

Wonderful shots Tweek! Have you considered uploading to A.net? I'm thinking some of these will get accepted pretty quickly Smiley Smiley

Nice to see zee Germans making a appearance with their Taifun too...

Did they end up calling it the Taifun, after all the effort to find a name that worked?

Considered, but haven't. I'd rather upload to Air Fighters (as per my signature), as I won't have to wait around for a week to be told my 2 photos have been rejected because they're a little soft around the serial number, or because the contrast is slightly out. Air Fighters still have standards, but unlike A.net, a good photo won't be rejected for such tiny (and sometimes even non-existent) faults.

Even so, appreciate the thought. Tongue

As for the Germans, I'm unsure whether it's officially known as the Taifun. Much the same as I'm unsure whether the Spanish is known as the Tifon. I get the feeling that one, or both, was simply thought up by an English speaker, who presumed they'd use the same name, just translated. It's probably just "EF2000" to them.

I think that Taifun has a slightly more historically painful association for our Teutonic friends  Roll Eyes Wink
