Hi Yall.

Is it possible to reformat Vista to XP?
This new computer was given to me for Christmas. I have tried to get used to Vista, but Vista is junk! I cant use my CH control Manager along a lot of other programs. In short I cant stand Vista.

You just need XP original install disc, and a CD-R of the drivers for each component of the machine (graphics, LAN, audio, chipset)

Vista uses a slightly updated NTFS system so don't format, but delete all parititions and create new ones.

Obviously backup all data first.

I wont have a problem with the graphics, or the audio drivers. the LAN and the chipset, I don't know how to get them.

Vista is NOT junk. It's your computer, or software. You won't have to worry much about Vista until Windows '08 (a.k.a. Microsoft Windows Longhorn...) comes out... Tongue

Not heard of the slow HD access and LAN slow down problems? Also Vista requires a higher end PC to be nippy, otherwise it just feels sluggish. Forget single core CPU's with 1GB of RAM.

RGR.

My computer is not at all slow.
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.20GHz 800 frunt bus
4 gig of dual channel ddr2 ram
Nvidia 8600 GTS 512mb with 675 core clock.

Thats all good and well, it's the way Vista does thing Huh
Like I wanted to add a repaint. It would'nt just let me save it, no I had to save the aircraft.cgf to the desktop and then copy and past it back in to the aircraft file that I wanted to add the repaint.

Wrong...Longhorn was the codename for Vista...The new Windows will be called Windows 7 (was originally codenamed Blackcomb and eventually Vienna)  Tongue

I stand corrected.
