I saw an ad on TV last night, Oxygene the album was being distributed free with a national newspaper today so I had to buy it.. It's one of those albums that I owned years ago (on vinyl.. remember that?  Smiley ) and I also saw his concert at London Docklands in 1988 when he projected lasers and images onto disused buildings, which was well ahead of it's time and wouldn't look out of place today.
Well I got home from work, loaded it into Media player and gave it a whirl... what a sound  Shocked It was bouncing off the walls and filled the room with sound I've never experienced before (and I own most of Pink Floyd's albums  Wink )
I was almost back at that concert...

Some of the old stuff is just as good, if not better than the new...  Cool

Just thought I'd share that with you  Smiley

I've got the Vinyl record of Equinox, (Sleeve with all the eyes!)...

..and over the years I have used my stacked 1980's Yamaha DX7, DX11, DX21, DX100, Synthesizers and Roland Drum Machines to program it into my Computers (Spectrum 48k, Commodore Amiga 1200, and PC), which then play it back through all the Synths, etc...!!

Amazing stuff for the time, and he still uses his old Antique Synths to produce his modern music!

Paul.... Cool...!
P.S. My Sister from Fulham posted the copy of Oxygene up to me yesterday...bless her... Kiss

I have Oxygene and Equinox as a double album, it's a pity I can't play it.... no record player.....so even though I can't stand the Daily Mail I bought it for the CD.  Grin Grin

I also had Oxygene on cassette tape and will never forget lying in the centre of a field, in the middle of nowhere, in the pitch black looking at the stars, listening to it on headphones via my walkman.

That's what happens when your are wandering in a field, in the middle of the night, with Walkman headphone plugs, stuck in your ear-'oles!...

....you never hear the Farmer's Tractor approaching... Shocked.... Embarrassed... Cry...!

Paul... Grin... Grin... Grin...!
