Im not sure were to post this but if it needs to moved please move it.
Im using FS2002 and when i try and do autoland the APR thing never intersecpts the ils, and it just keeps trying to chase the localiser but goes to far, and it wont intercept the glideslope till it intercepts the locoliser, can any one help?

Intercept the localizer on a more parallel course. 30° is about as far away from parallel as you can get and still have any chance of intercepting it. Try 10-15°.
ALWAYS intercept the glide slope from below. When you first see the glide slope indicator it must be above you or you will never intercept it.
Make sure your NAV1 radio and autopilot course heading settings are correct. NAV1 must be the ILS frequency and the course must be the runway heading.
Practice with smaller, slower aircraft.
(Edit - You use the term "autoland". FS02 doesn't have a true "autoland" function, just approach hold. You can't rely on approach hold to automatically land the aircraft.)

A true autoland would control your airspeed and flare.
If you're really interested there is a gauge that will add a true autoland
here
. It works but you already have to be set up for an ILS landing so it's more trouble than it's worth.

Approach hold will smash the landing gear through the wings on landing, Autoland will flare.

Hello!

On apr hold in 737's I make some of my best and satisfying landings. Just gotta get into good altitude, position and speed. Having fsnavigator helps in positioning the aircraft to the glidescope at the right angle and distance from the airport.

Maybe this would help...
For a very smooth apr you have to slow down speed almost the minimum to aproach, in a Cessna try to intercept in the range of 75 to 100 in a jet you have to intercept it below 180, remember that this you have to head the plane in an angle of 30º or less than the descending path. If you are flying with not ATC control try to fly 2800 ft above the airfield at 10 nm of distance this is a very good point to intercepts, it gives you a very large descending and its easy to adjust the correct speed to do it. desengage the AP as far as 300 ft. above the field and keep with the same speed, with a small pull of the yoke you'll have a perfect landing.

and you dont have to set heading on the nav 1 it doesnt matter. when using the ils you dont use the course heading.
also try youtube, there are hundreds of ILS tutorials on there.
