Ok, now you guys tell me why it shouldn't be there.  I'm quite surprised they took this one, but then again they rejected the ones that I thought might have a chance.

Congrats and Nice shot!!

Now, don't get me wrong and it is a shot that no doubt should be in there but, from what I see and a lot of my shots get turned down for this, is that it looks a little soft across the top of the fuselage and the reg numbers look like they could be a little sharper.

Again, Congrats!!!!!

Yeah, I noticed that too.  The forward half of the plane was just outside the focusing brackets (terminology?) when I snapped the photo.  My point and shoot has a little bit of delay to it after you press the button. I needed to lead the shot a little better. I would really like to have an SLR, but in order to get one I need money and to get money I'd need to get a real job and give up flying for a living.  Sad  Perhaps by second year FO pay.

I use a Kodak DX7590 and until I get a DSLR I'll always have the same problem!!  I have my camera set to minimize the problem but, a lot of my shots still get turned down!! Sad

Well, I think it's a nice photo & I like it. That's all that matters to me. So what if it's not perfect according to the 'experts'.

I have a DSLR & spend a lot of time taking photos of aircraft. I'm not confident that any of them would be accepted at Anet or similar websites. I will never know as I've never submitted any & don't intend doing so. This is my hobby & I enjoy it. I also meet a lot of interesting people while out with the camera, some of whom have become good friends.

I hope this is taken as intended & I mean no offence to anyone. I just think that too much importance is attached to what the people at these websites are looking for. Unless it's something out of the ordinary they already have countless photos of modern airliners in every livery imaginable & taken from all angles posted there already.

You make a very good point.  I don't submit photos but every once in a while when I get bored enough to do so. Most of the time I just post them here. Smiley
