Just thought I'd point this out. Suggest that the stuff he uploads should be removed!

Hi,

I just read the thread. Thanks for the update.

He hs uploaded quite a lot of payware files which have not been posted or removed immediately when notified. I've contacted him on a few occasions & he's always been respectful & compliant. I think he has a load of stuff & is just an enthusiastic kid.

Thing is - his email IS in his files & not all of them are illegal. I think this is a case of a young person who doesn't appreciate the need to read copyright rather than deliberate mal practice. Kids today are like that with all the file sharing that goes on - it's completely normal part of life - wrong as it may be. It's different from deliberate abuse.

If anyone gave my 9 yo a hard time for a genuine mistake I would be VERY concerned & upset. She is SO well meaning but could easily make an error like this. Any abuse would fire up my evil side  Cheesy

Wayne will get it if he's spoken to properly. He's been fully understanding in all the mails I've sent him. Kids should never be bullied.

I need file names of the ones Rick is talking about so I ca remove them. I will wait for Rick's email - so far not received.

Thanks Wink

Unfortunately Pete, he's not given the same respectful impression elsewhere! I'm not entirely sure on the situation now, but he was being rude and abusive to members at "FSXMission", also refusing to admit that he'd done anything wrong. He promptly deleted all of his posts (or replaced them with "Bye", anyway), presumably after he realised he was in the wrong (though not admitting so).

Young he is, but he still needs to learn the rights and wrongs of what he's doing. At his age, I at least knew how to be polite!

He probably did this because iof the way he was approached. remember this is Simviation - where we TRY to kick egos the hell back to those forums that they belong & keep this a place that has the human touch & outlook.

Attack & you can only expect agressive defence & retaliation.
Approach & you stand a chance of acheiving a positive outcome.

I have never seen another forum that doesn't remind me of the need to maintain our emphasis on positivity & friendliness. Failure to do this is just as destructive as what our friend Wayne is doing. Its one reason why so many developers have given up - not through piracy (though obviopusly that happens) but through bad feelings. (it's a shame I have to emphasise this to you Tweek!)

Once I find what files Rick wants removing they will be removed promptly.

I'm scampering around like a maniac today but if I don't hear by tomorrow I'll do a search & see if I can find Rick's files uploaded by Wayne.

Yes, I agree.

Still, this post (and all the rest on other forums) act as a warning not to download anything under his name. You don't know what you might be getting!

Well I didn't receive an email from Rick & I've searched without success to find a Rick file uploaded by Wayne.

I will email Rick to see what files he is referring to & remove them according to his wishes.
