I thought Simworld is for Landscape shots without aircraft!
If I am correct this shot belongs in freeware as it is a simple picture with a bridge in the background.
Even if it does belong in simworld, doesn't show much except fog and a bridge.

On the other hand though... it does make you think; 'I want to fly there...'

Actualy Dave, ive spent a few weekends about 5 miles from that bridge, and in the morning it looks like that, with low fog covering the water serface and wrapping around the landscape.

if it did not have the aircraft in shot, it would be excellent Smiley

but now he as removed the images Sad

Then maybe the aircraft shouldn't have been in the shot.
Sorry to sound "offensive" but like I have said countless times before, BEST OF THE BEST PEOPLE!

and Spitfire bot if it makes you say "i want to fly there", then go and fly around that bridge and the other couple thousand that are represented in the sim Smiley

You make it sound like an ordinary bridge, but unlike most of the other couple of thousand this was a true feat of engineering when it was built in the 19th Century and is a beautiful sight today...

The precise goal of simworld was not for "the best of the best", it was to show pictures of places, with or without aircraft, that would inspire people to fly there. If this picture inspires people to fly to the Firth of Forth to observe this wonderful piece of engineering then it should go into simworld Smiley

In fact, if you look at them, many of the entries for simworld do show a plane, with a specific piece of scenery in the background such as Coventry or Rome....

Soames, please put it back so it can be put into simworld

Not best of the best but beautiful landscapes...
And I apologize for the comment Quote:
then go and fly around that bridge and the other couple thousand that are represented in the sim
as I have never heard of Firth of Forth and thought it was just a bridge someplace.

Sorry, go ahead and put it back Soames, I apologize.

My perception of Simworld is different I guess..

Ok, settle down everyone....aircraft are permitted in the pic as the original guidelines indicate, but the scenery has to be the predominant visual in the pic. I again agree with Dave that the pic has to be taken with care and skill, BUT even if the pic only features one specific item, if it's interesting enough to entice people to either pick up the add-on ond/or fly there, then it'd Simworld material. I've already saved this pic for entry and it will go in, but again let's take guidance from Dave's concerns and keep the pics interesting, high quality and above all, scenic.  Smiley
