Very good.
Great angle and colors. It has a great mood to it. A bit more clouds would have been nice but this is just fine.

Indeed getting much better. There's a couple of things you could still do, but otherwise going very well.
Those things are;
Try not to cut bits of the wing off of your aircraft.
Like a1 said, have more clouds.
And try to get rid of the jaggies in your shot, either by turning Anti-aliasing on in your graphics card intrface, or, if you don't have a good enough card to do that, get irfanview and use the resample feature to resize your shots - it does a great job of smoothing out jaggedy edges.
You are improving at a rate of knots though mate - I look forward to more from you!!

Composition here is great.
Go easy on the dark thing, try to make sure the pic has enough light to at least highlight detailing and allow for all the image to be seen clearly. I'm very much into dusk/dawn lighting, but you've got to get it just right to create that fine balance between mood and detail.
Here's an example of what I mean by just enough light to give highlight detailing. Try to use those reflective textures on your aircraft to brighten and enhance the detailing in shots that are taken in lower light situations. I see your aircraft has a bit of reflect, I bet if you'd moved the time ahead maybe a minute or two it would have allowed more overall visible impact and light balance in the shot.
Here's your shot brightened and slightly over-sharpened a bit..

Getting better - a couple of other things though;
You need to get some better water textures - there are plenty of freeware options. I'll find links in a minute.
The shot looks a bit over-compressed - what program are you using to compress your images?
The clouds need to be more elaborate still - do you have your cloud settings set to 'simple clouds'? The best effects by far are garnered with the higher settings.
The carrier looks a wee bit dark, but there's not much that can be done about that other than changing the conditions of your flight which can in some cases ruin the other elements of your shot.
And of course the jaggies that you already mentioned.
On the other hand, there are several very good bits;
Brilliant composition - balanced nicely with the carrier on one side and the jet on the other...
Nice angle on the plane - head on, looking menacing.
Great overall lighting.
Nice atmosphere.

currently, I edit my photo's with a program called "the GIMP"
in order to save in a .jgp file, it needs to export it, and in the process, i can select at what % I save the file, which is where it is compressed.
I already have a water fix, but if you can find a better one, I'm all ears.
I'll look at my clouds here in a sec.
thanks everyone!

If you already have a water fix... how high up are your water settings? The best results can be gained by turning your land detail settings to land only and your water settings to full.
I would recommend Irfanview to compress images - it uses exactly the same system. What you need to do is adjust the slider, several times if necessary from the original uncompressed image, in order to get the filesize of your image as close to 100kb as possible without going over 100kb.

I may have failed to mention that this is in fs2002. all of my sliders a maxed out, and I'm still getting here. my video card and precessor are bound to restric it, but even maxed out, I really don;t have any lag.
are there any cloud add ons or aditional water fixes that I could add?

ahhh... I didn't know you were using FS2002. I use fs2004 and so probably can't help you with fs2002 water add-ons etc that may well be structured differently between the two sims. Sorry.

thats what i figured when you started talking about land a water settings. oh well, 2k2 will serve the purpose for now, although X or at least 9 would be nice
but untill more money flow happens, that's not going to. college is comming up and I already have a bank acct. on wheels called a 68 mustang. poor me, not able to afford fsx
