Full pics. We can overlook the 500k limit for this comp only, as the pics will only be up for 48 hours.   Smiley
In keeping with StudioV tradition, if you want to bend the rules a bit, it's up to you. Ducks are amphibians aren't they?  Wink But no payware/editing is not negotiable.  Smiley

Voila!

FS9

...

Surprised myself here in being able to come up with an entry this quickly; I was expecting to have to do a last-minuter. However, this shot happened as a co-incidental. I just turned the camera around and there this view was - because of this, I know there are flaws, such as the clouds in the distance, but I felt they were reasonable compensation for the foreground, which I personally like.

Good competition   Smiley

But please keep in mind that FS9 has an advantage over FSX in that FSX needs the hardware to display all it can, and, FSX needs good and well developed freeware add-ons which are just now starting to hit the servers. FS9 has had years of time in order to meet hardware and add-on needs and most can run it top notch, where FSX needs someone with the right-stuff to show what it can do.

Dont smack me for posting a link to another forum, but, here are larger images of FSX with freeware scenery and the right hardware installed (running DX9 in those)

http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=24248

Good luck and have fun!

Can only agree with that, although FSX certainly won't need the same amount of addons to give the same percentage of improvement. There are two addons in my shot - Flight Environment X and TreeX, and FSX looks vastly superior to my FS9, with all its addons.

And just out of curiosity, what water are you using? Looks very much like FEX, clouds and all, and if so, which set is installed (provided it's not your own custom one)?

What a Wonderful World for FSX
2nd generation Shader tweak for SP2 in the FSX forum under FSWC on Hault http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1197128602

with a few test settings I am working with

its unhalted now     Cheesy

I usually fly with GEX, UTX, FEX but went with a default for a few tests I have been running

Looks like things a really heating up! Wait until you all see Theme #2....we're going to really get the silicon smokin'. Glad everyone's having fun...judges..remember to send me your scores as totals only, indicate the number of entries for each side you've judged, then the score. Example: 7 entries for Team X = 48 points. All Team X Men points will be multiplied by 1.23 to compensate for their having 2 less players than Kiss My 9. (I'll do that)  Wink

Ah, I see I'm in team X. Okay, cool  Cheesy

There are some absolutely amazing shots in here from both sims - a team comp is something new in here I think, everyone's doing their best to avoid letting the side down....

Well, here's mine for the X-Men. I can only get default planes to show in FSX, did the best I could  Smiley
