Somewhat irrelevant screenart courtesy Clipper (just the added text)

This will be the last ever Gallery Gates competition  Smiley

In January we'll start a new best of Freeware/best of Payware/best of Edited comp. No more will freeware go head to head with composites...hopefully a change for the better.

Anyway, enjoy this last old-style comp and nominate some great stuff over the holiday period.

Seasonal themed shots very welcome e.g. Winter, Christmas theme - if we get enough maybe I'll put up a special poll for the best 'seasonal' shot  Smiley

Anyway, here's where you can submit the finest screenart you can find for Gallery consideration. (Just click reply on this thread and post your pic!)

TWO ENTRIES PER PERSON (as it's for 2 weeks Wink) and entries MUST be submitted as clickable thumbnails or code without image tags to the SimV uploaded pic only. Please say whose shot you're nominating if it's not your own.

Gallery judges may enter shots, even their own, but they may not vote for their own. May I recommend that all members of the Gallery Board submit two pics each? The more to choose from the better.... so many great shots to preserve, before they are lost in time, like tears in rain...  Smiley

RULES

The Gallery Gates are open for 2 weeks at a time and close on the second Saturday at 20:00 GMT.

The Gallery panel will make their selections for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place from the submitted pics Sundays by 20:00 GMT and send them by PM to KRIGL.

If there are more than 8 entries there will be a poll on the best 5. Some selection is necessary so the selected get plenty of votes

If your screenart is selected, it will be posted in our Gallery the following week.

Here's how to make your own clickable thumbnails!
1) Take a big pic... 800 x 600, save it
2) Make a small pic, say 120 x 90 from your big pic, save it.
3) Give each pic a different name, say for example biggie for the big one, and biggiethumb for the small one.
4) Upload both the small and the large pic.
5) Type the following two lines exactly as you see them here into your new thread.
...
6) See the two question marks in the two rows just above? Replace them with the two names of the pics you just uploaded, biggie in the first line and biggiethumb in the second. The thumbnail sized pic is always in the second line.
7) Hit "post", or "preview" first if you want to make sure it's o.k.
8) That's it, you've now created and posted your clickable thumbnail!

Entries welcome, of your own shot or someone elses!

Cheers

The Gallery Team

I dont...

apart from the water (which anyone can produce with a good enough system and the right add-ons) the shot is pretty dull and ordinary..

I think the gallery needs to be reserved for extra special shots...and in my opinion this isn't....no offence to tweek Wink

No offence taken, as I agree!

It's nice to know that the shot has been recognised, but it's not one that I'd personally nominate.
