Just found out what these marks are from, either side of the undercarriage doors on the typhoon...
All credit to the photographer of course...Cracking photo
Whats you best guess Ill let you know the answer in a while...

could be brake dust looking at the circular pattern. ?
maybe missile heat scorch
that or someone forgot a pin in the gear assembly and they folded up the wrong way

Ah yes, these mystery circles.....I wondered what your light rectangles were so I looked into it, but only found a typhoon without them. Strangely enough, this one had the dirty marks around the gear-leg position and from that, it's clear to anyone who has a dear ear, as to what they are from........TRUST ME !
They're from some sort of an "anti-head-banging cuff" installed for the benefit of the ground crew while working on the gear legs on the ground...........

Yes I was just as baffled as you all guessing away, I wouldn't of guessed it either...
The marks are from the remove before flight tags pins in the undercarriage blowing in the wind on the ramp
Also thanks to mic for supplying the photo

I see my theory is wrong... the gear folds the other way, duh. And the tires are much smaller than those round areas.
I don't think it's from the flags on the safety pins, though...
