1) Yep you your allowed to resize your shots, although i dont think your allowed to crop them.

2) You can't use any payware whatsoever, everything in your shot has to be freeware

Hope that clears them up for you...

Tom

Hey guys! I'm new to screenshots, but I think I might have an interesting idea for December's contest. I read through the contest rules and I understand most of parameters, but I need a couple of clarifications, please.

#1) Can I resize the shot? (is that considered an edit?)  and,

#2) I know the aircraft is suppose to be freeware, but can UTXUSA, GEX, ASX, etc., be used in the contest?

Sorry if these are extremely elementary wonderings. I have my parachute on. If anyone feels need to push me out the door, please wait until we are at least 1000' AGL.   Tongue Thanx, Dave

I like this guy!! Grin

Tom's got it completely right. The full rules for the contest can be found here - see 2nd post

Just trying to help mate...

okay-dokay, the specifics;

Your shot MUST NOT be cropped, and it MUST be resized to be 800 wide - height within reason does not matter.

The shot must not 'weigh' more than 100kb.

One entry maximum per member.

Absolutely NO payware - scenery, aircraft, sky, clouds, water etc etc... anything at all that is payware is invalid, EXCEPT the FSX acceleration pack - an exception seems to have been made there.

Those are the main ones I could think of that seem to match your concerns.

Nah, but since you brought it up. If you think laughing is an adrenaline rush, you don't know what your really missing.

No smart azz remarks?

Mate, its called sarcasm and cynicsm. I wasn't really suggesting that laughing gives you such an adrenaline rush as, say, jumping off a cliff with a bungee cord round your feet, or the like. Huh
