Is there an add on for carriers which gives details to the catapult and cables? The default FSX carrier catapult is very lame, and the area that defines the catapult is a grey line with black line down the middle. The cables are a big problem they don't have any but your able to land a 747 on it WTF. So is there any add-ons that give detail to the catapult and cables for a carrier?
You must be looking at the old, static models vs. the new moving models.
Look at the NEW models that came with Acceleration.
Or, download "aicarriers2r2.zip" to be able to place fleets wherever you are flying.
These models have cables and the 4 cats look pretty good as well.
plus you don't need any 3rd party addons for trapping/launching if your
aircraft has these lines in the aircraft.cfg file with the approriate set of
parameters:
[TailHook]
tailhook_length=9
tailhook_position=-16.206, 0.0, 1.031
cable_force_adjust=1.0
[launch_assistance]
launch_bar_pivot=16.417, 0.000, -4.753 //0.90, 0.00, -0.09
launch_bar_lug=16.417, 0.000, -8.753 //0.90, 0.00, -4.09
You will need to assign keys for the launch arm and enable in the controls menu.
BTW, these are moving carriers/fleets....
