Just finished it and bawled like a baby, I did... Well, not really, but it was a fantastic ending. Why did they have to go and whack poor Eli like that? He was such a great guy. Anyone know when Episode 3 is coming out? I can't wait to see what the Borealis is all about! More importantly, what happened to Lamar the head crab? You do realize he was in the rocket, right?
BTW, I really like this releasing shorter episodes rather than waiting years and releasing a whole new game. This as close to a movie as any game I have ever seen before....

indeed it is a fantastic edition to one of my all time favourite games (after the origional Half Life and sonic the hedgehog
(i just love that lil blue guy))
however, valve kind of missed the point of episodic gaming, it should be shorter games, for cheaper and released more frequently and while they have aspects 1 and 2 nailed to the board, they seem to struggle with releasing their games on time, its very nicely put together but i do feel the entire valve community where waiting to long.

Yeah you got a point there, but they wish too maintain a certain amount of quality, in wich they obviously succeed. And, it really isnt easy making games nowadays, since technique's are improving so is development time.

You can get a little preview of episode 3 when they watch the film about the ship. If you use the no clip cheat, you can go through and find the ship, plus some arctic terrain to explore...

no, the reason Episode 2 took so long was because of the bloomin orange box (which is great dont get me wrong) but valve wanted to release EP2, Portal and Team Fortress 2 at the same time. thats why it took so long to get out, mainly because of TF2 and their public beta to those who pre-orderd the orange box.
if it was truely episodic the wait between edisodes should be a couple of months, not nearly a year
EP2 was too short, i hope EP3 is longer
