Angry  i have FSX and took a photo for this months comp
but when i try to upload it, it says "it is approximately to large by over 100kilobytes

i also have Adobe photo shop can anyone give me specific direction on how to enter an image



PS this will be my first entry if it succeeds
 

At school they say I'm strange because i like FSX....But here I'm right at home.

i7 860 processor - 4 Gb DDR3 Ram  - 1TB Hard Drive - 1Gb HD 5750 ATI graph. card      .....jealous???

You should already be familiar with the 100kb & 800 x 600 size limits for screenshots... Wink

Simply use Photoshop to resize and compress the screenshots to within the limits

But thats the thing i go and resize the image to 800 by 600 and then "save for web" in file  but it still happens

I have Photoshp ,Paint shop pro , core draw, and for posting shots I use the most , simple and usefull :

 Infanview
save as JPG ,with the degree of compression less than 100kb , 800x600 for resize ,and ctrl+s to make sharper if you want  Smiley

If you're using Photoshop "save for web", here's the trick:

Look at the shaded area top right corner here..

the slider that is highlighted by clicking the quality arrow has to be moved to the left. As you do this, the "weight" of your pic decreases. You can actually see what the file size will be as you move the slider, look at the shaded area in pic 2bottom left corner.

     ...


This is where you'll see the actual file size changing. When you have the perfect size, click save..that's it.  Wink
