Last sunday morning I finished my final nightshift for this year. Had to do some tests on a newly installed system. The tests went pretty smooth without any big troubles. So I finished around 8.00 in the morning and went back to the place where I parked my car. This is how I found it:
Yep, some lowlife son(s) of a B**** broke the windshield of the car, opened the door (they damaged the doorlock), stole the radio, my GPS navigation and a folder with some CD's. Luckily the Dutch police were to lazy or drunk/high to come take a report so I had to sort out my own problems. Found a repairshop (on Sundaymorning!!) with a original window so at least I could drive home. Had the radio and navsystem replaced yesterday. Only the doorlock remains.

PS yeah I know the car is dirty, you don't need to tell me.

I never quite understand the mindset of these lowlives, it really beggars belief.

Never had my homeaddress stored in the GPS, so I'm not that afraid about it.

Welcome to my world... I don't even lock my doors anymore, and of course leave nothing of value in there. At least this perp had a sensible goal: stealing and probably selling your electronics. I still get crackheads rummaging through my car for God-knows-what, even though I have no radio and never leave so much as a penny in there. The stupidity of it all just makes me more angry... if I ever catch one of those dirtbags, I will hurt them.

Any trace of separate navsystem = asking for broken windows.
Even traces of the sucker cap make them mess up the whole interior
But why did they go for the front window? thats 10 times stronger than the ones in the door... Or someone didnt want you to drive away from there.

Don't know Ivan. They tried to break the lock, which didn't do it for them. It just snapped off. There are scratches on the left side window, so I guess they tried to break it. After that they went for the front window I think. They used a concrete block used for sidewalks of 30x30 centimeters (een stoeptegel in goed Nederlands). The way it was broken and pushed inside, they could just reach for the doorhandle.
