OMG what an airforce guy! Pilots are bad enough as it is but air force pilots need a full 10 hours of beauty sleep before a misson! actually that's irrelevant, but I just don't like the air force.

I like Mil Fighters, if its an F/A-18 or F-16, Great.

Military Jets fly great their made that way. Wink

Overall I think the F/A-18 looks the best.

Although, anything does beat a Hornet. Nothing beats out the Flanker & Super Flanker series though Wink

1. F/A-18 isn't the best plane there is

2. Not everything will shoot down an F/A-18 (Thats an overreaction (not made by me))

3. F-14 is better than all the planes made in the discussion here! Grin

Amen to that! If the Russian Airforce Top G's were smart enough to put the Su-37 and 47 into production then they could becom the top dogs!

The new F/A-18E could beat Flankers, but only if flown by Marine pilots (I used to hate all navy planes unti l I found out the Marines flew them, Oorah), but since the Marines aren't getting any F/A-18E's anytime soon, I'll just have to hope someone in the motherland get's enough sense to put the Bekrut into production.

If exparamental fighters count, what about the X-31 or the X-29? They would smoke an SU-37 or SU-47 in a dogfight.

The reason that the SU-37 and -47 are not in production is because of economical problems in Russia. The reason that the X31 and -29 are not in production is that they were only intended as ATDs(Advanced Technology Demonstrators) Some of the data from those projects helped select the thrust vectoring in the F-22.

Im staying out of the argument otherwise because I like all the fighters that have been mentioned here!

I used to be a air force guy until i had the privilidge to stand out on the runway during the East Coast F/A-18C hornet demonstration. Absolutely increcible. now im a navy guy hahahhahaha
