Took my Daughter to New York City to get a pair of pointe shoes custom made and then went on a little walk-a-bout around New York City. It was cold, windy and mostly couldy and it did snow a little. It was a great because I've never walked around NYC like that before. We had to visit Time Square which was really cool and then we visited the worlds biggest Toys-R-Us which was unbelievable!! Went to M & M world and then over to the Hershey store. We ate at the Hardrock which was so cool inside!!
Here are some shots of the buildings and I only know the Empite State building. Maybe Sean can help me I.D. what the others are.
We'll be going back up on Saturday to pick her pointe shoes up. I can't wait!!
Enjoy!!
The Empire State Building
Time Square was really cool but, I don't know if I would want to be there New Years Eve!! Well Maybe!!
Give my regards to Broadway, remember me to Herald Square!!
What a great cup of coffee I got here!!
Sean, can you I.D. this place!!
I wanted to go in but, my Wife said she didn't think it would be a good idea!!

Nice stuff, Cory. I go into NYC on a semi-regular basis. Nice to see some stuff off the beaten path.

Have no idea what those two buildings are... they tend to pop up overnight, like mushrooms, in Manhattan.
When you go back, if there's time, stop by the bus terminal at 42nd and 8th Ave. to see George Rhoads' excellent "moving ball" sculpture,
42nd St. Ballroom
. It's a musical kinetic sculpture, one of those special-and free- little treasures of Times Square.
