Well, Judge Jake was outta town for much of his comp…. but he’s back now …

…and His Honour has spoken.

The winner of this week’s Judge’s Choice comp is….

HAROLD!!!!

“I love the balance in this shot. The light on the aircraft is perfect and contrasts wonderfully with the sky; the angle of the shot really makes you focus on the fantastic sky colour. I really like the overall sharpness and quality of this excellent shot, well done!!.”

CONGRATULATIONS, HAROLD!!!

In second place there’s:

Mictheslik!!

“At a close second is Mic. I really like the great range of colours in this shot; details such as clouds and the smoke from the Vulcan really add to it. The angle of the shot and the blurry ground give this image a brilliant sense of depth..”

And in 3rd:

PD87!

“This shot stands out from other contenders due simply to its blue-ness! The colours are very tropical and I love the ground scenery..”

“I'd also like to add that all the other entries were very good and it was a close contest to get into the runner-up spots. Well done everyone!.”

It was a truly colourful comp this week….I really loved looking through all the entries.

A lot of recent competitions have been about the environment we fly in, it's many shapes, moods and colours. While themes of this type belong among people's favourites, could it be time for a change? Let’s see what direction Harold decides to take things…

Two cool entries so far... dark, moody, sunset/dawn/night shots are more than welcome! But any colour and level of brightness is good, for example very blue shots with lots of sea and bright sunshine for example. I'm hoping to see some very vibrant shots this time round....and so is Judge Jake, naturally Cheesy

The reason it doesn't give a underlined link is that your entry has a space between the "s" and "e": firemonte007's entry.jpg

I believe it's okay to rename your shot and upload it again.

This 'Colorful Departure' is a shot from my Anchorage Action series which I took just before my FS9 drive went belly up. I was planning on posting it in a new series - as I think it is a really nice shot - but I never did. Now it just seems to fit this weeks Judges Choice theme.
