You know your meteorology well,  Doug.  North of us on the island got it worse ......The temp did rise overnight and now all we have it about 14 inches of slush on my 300 yd driveway. Got a canoe for me ? Two days of 11-12C and the balance of the week above 0 will get me thinking of 40 days and 40 nights......well, you know........it's still pretty, but messy if you have to go anywhere. For us, we're snowlocked until a plough/back-hoe or front end loader comes to our rescue. In due time I guess.....for now we have heat, food, and power for this machine so I'm not totally shut off from the world. Also, I just talked on the phone with a friend in Unionville and have your semi-local forecast and conditions updated for my own info..........

Hi Ken... Wink

My sister called me this morning, said they had snow on the island, I just laughed at her, everything shuts down on the island and in Vancouver when they get a snow flake.  Grin LOL

We have two children stationed in B.C. and two on the East Coast of Canada.  I have a sister and a brother on both coasts as well with the rest like our children and family all over the planet.

We have about a good foot of snow here now but yesterday and last night we had freezing rain, power was out in a lot of places along the Highway #7 corridor.  Very high winds right now and more snow on the way, good day to stay inside by the fireplace and enjoy a good Brandy.

Don't worry Ken the temperature will be up in the two digits this week again and you can kiss the snow goodby.   Cry

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Yeah my little town shuts down when it snows even half an inch. I like it cuz we get outta school. Grin

Yikes! That amount would seriously demobilise my country!  Grin

Better go search for the snowshovel Ken and don't stand to long in the garage, those gasses might be a wee bit toxic!  Wink
