After years of simming I have now started to add some AI (finally got a decent system.)      I want to add a few local AI flights
for the areas I regularly fly, I have already added WOAI Air New Zealand and Qantas, via TTools.      Can you point me towards
a simple program to enable me to add a few Cessna flights etc in and out of my local airports.

You all ready have what you need TTOOLS. If you look through this section you will find the posts that will show you how to make your own AI traffic plans. Cool

Thanks for you reply.......I used to be a yachtsman  Grin

I found the Ttools a bit bewildering and saw that there are programs available that will do the conversions into the
proper format for you - just wondered if anyone was using such.   However, I might just have to make some time and peruse the posts
and hope it all becomes clear.

If you only have the Traffic Tools files (.exe and .ini) that came with the WoAI installer, you can download the full install from here: Traffic Tools v2.02. It contains the excellant  User Manual.

Though there are utilities available (in the SimV FS2004 Utilities downloads) that provide a GUI for creating/editing Traffic Tools source files, I still do it manually so can't make any recommendations. Manual edit isn't that difficult once you've done a few.

Traffic Tools compiles the traffic file in FS9 format. If you are creating traffic files for FSX they should be converted to the FSX format.

Peter van der Veen has created AIFPC ( AI Flight Plan Compiler/Decompiler) that will compile/decompile traffic files from Traffic Tools source files in both FS9 and FSX format.

Peter van der Veen's AIFPC discussion forum at FSDeveloper.com.

Download AIFPC from FSDeveloper.com
