Good for you... I'll have to wait until February to get mine. Looks like a lot of people on here will have very similar setups!!

I suspect Mic means he's updating the lens. If it's the camera the 400D will make a good spare.

I'd understand stepping up to an L-lense. Expensive, yet worth it. Or is he talking about the Bigma?
Upgrading the camera makes less sense, I've heared. Not a lot gained by stepping over to a 40D. Better to invest in some excellent glass-work. This is not me talking, but countless reliable sources.

I agree no point in getting a new camera.....
Lens is what's coming....either the 100-400L or the bigma, cant decide which (Quality against price and range....)

Yep, I'm officially a dSLR-freak now...
Welcome to the club ...
Proficiat met de nieuwe camera, volgens mijn bescheiden mening de beste (betaalbare) camera die je op dit ogenblik kan kopen.
Veel succes ermee.
En een gelukkige verjaardag natuurlijk.
Frank (a happy 350D owner).

Goodmorning Kris..
Great Ceasars Ghost Kris that Camera has more buttons than a Cessna 172.
You do wonderful shots with it so keep it up, I am sure we all enjoy them.
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Maybe so Doug, but a Cessna doesn't make such nice pictures, now does it? ...
Thanks for the wishes Frank!
