Well I've just chucked Airplane! in the DVD player and am laughing as usual. We've had most of the Airplane! threads but I was wondering what is everyones favourite scene from this comedy classic?
Personally I love the disco scene
There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

The bit where the screen is just full of a pair of giggling boobies of course.

seriously a good classic aviation film and comedy.
as a flight crew member, and while dead heading in the jump seat of commercial airliners, i have seen on MANY MANY occasions the following conversation has actually happen on flights... (imagine a cockpit voice recorder transcript)
Pilot Flying: "Gear down"
Pilot not flying: "Gear down and three green"
Pilot Flying: "Flaps 15"
Pilot not flying: "15 selected and indicating 15"
Pilot flying "Flaps 20"
Pilot not flying: "20 selected and indicating 20
Pilot flying: "Flaps 35 before landing check list"
Pilot not flying: "35 slected, landing gear three green flaps set 35 degrees, engine sink is off, bleed closed, cabin pressure is down before landing check list complete"
pilot not flying: "You're through 1,000 feet"
GPWS VOICE: "five, hundred"
Pilot not flying: "500 feet on approach speed sink rate is 700"
pilot not flying:
"Just wanted to tell you good luck, we're all counting on you"
GPWS VOICE: "one hundred.... fifty, fourty, thirty, twenty, ten"
touchdown

Rumack: What was it we had for dinner tonight?
Elaine Dickinson: Well, we had a choice of steak or fish.
Rumack: Yes, yes, I remember, I had lasagna.

the tagline:
What's slower than a speeding bullet, and able to hit tall buildings at a single bound?
Rumack: Captain, how soon can you land?
Captain Oveur: I can't tell.
Rumack: You can tell me. I'm a doctor.
Captain Oveur: No. I mean I'm just not sure.
Rumack: Well, can't you take a guess?
Captain Oveur: Well, not for another two hours.
Rumack: You can't take a guess for another two hours?

Amazing film.
Love the opening scene where the guy punches the religious person.
Also love the extreamly low approach where the plane hits the antenna.
PS: I think my avatar is somewhat from the film.
