FlyintAIR New Base Opens
FlyintAIR Virtual Airlines are pleased to announce the launch of their new operational base, Berlin’s Schonefeld airport. This expansion sees the launch of flyintAIR’s first non-UK base to join our ever-expanding network.
Following last month’s announcement in fly! Magazine that the airline would be expanding to an undisclosed non-UK location, the new base sees the addition of three new aircraft join our wide and varied fleet of fourteen aircraft (now seventeen), all of which now display our dynamic and fresh livery.
This expanded fleet has allowed us to add 20 new routes focussed at both our key business and holiday markets. The new routes added include:
Berlin Schonefeld to:Amsterdam
Athens
Brussels
Cardiff
Dalaman
Dubai
Frankfurt
Geneva
Larnaca
Ljubljana
London City
Malaga
Malta
Munich
Nice
Paris CDG
Rome
Sardinia
Sharm El Sheikh
Tunis
These new route are also supported by our existing links to our existing bases at Inverness, Blackpool, Newcastle and Kent International Manston.
The launch of our new base also coincides with the transition to our revised winter timetables. These include changes to some of our summer holiday charters (mainly Greek destinations) which have been replaced with winter sun and ski destinations. These destinations include Geneva, Lapland (Rovaniemi) and many of the Canary Islands.
CEO Thomas Ross commented that “the airline has come a long way since its conception just under a year ago. The addition of our first non-UK base and our recent entry into certain long haul routes shows our commitment to expanding our operations and acts as a starting point for the long term future. We hope that the new Berlin base will be highly successful and see the potential for further expansion, while many of our current UK bases are peaking in terms of destinations and in some cases frequency. Time will only tell what the future holds.”
FlyintAIR are due to celebrate their first birthday at the start of December and more details on the future of the airline will be announced in the third edition of fly! magazine due for release at the start of the month. More details will be released when appropriate.
