I installed halo, fs9, rainbow six etc.... they it actually runs smoother than with xp ( to my surpise)! I only have one gig ram I am gonna get another gig next week but after I fist installed it a year ago and very dissapointed in performance I am inpressed right now and actually much perfer it over xp (never thought  I would say that) Cheesy

So you removed the sidebar and preformed some tweaks? Which tweaks? I'm sure there are many people out their salivating at your story!  Wink

Vista is weird. I've seen it run great on simply terrible systems, and terrible on systems that reguarly turn up in my dreams.  Wink  Cheesy

I would buy it thats for sure. Grin I would like to now what tweaks are good and bad one said turn off superfetch another one said leave it on I didnt know so I left it alone.

I really liked it for a few hours but then kinda got old But I actually played around with it for a while, How much system resources does it take up I wonder.  Shocked

I personally love Vista, and can't imagine going back to XP.  There's been a few hiccups here and there, but for the most part, it seems quite nice. Smiley

it takes up a bit, but i really dont worry with system resources on my new rig, on my old one, i was getting like 100% cpu usage on desktop with nothing running (p4 2.4 ghz) now on my new rig its rarely over 10% a core on desktop

Not surprising! Vista is WONDERFUL! Sure, it eats your PC alive, but it's still nice.

I got Windows Vista and I got no problem with it. Ok, I get some CTDs now and then, but that's only because I have a habit of keeping the computer on almost all day and all night every day. Grin

I've heard people ranting on about how Vista's extra features (like the gadgets) just slow their computer down and all that but I see no difference in my computer performence at all when I disable those. Grin
