I run Yahoo! Messenger from time-to-time and when I run it, it basically disconnects IE7. Is there any reason for why it does this?

I don't know why it would do this. Do you mean it keeps it from running, making a connection, or does it crash IE?

Personally, I'd try to go back to IE 6

or try...

FIREFOX or SAFARI or OPERA!  Wink Wink Really, they kick IE's behind!

Making a connection. My wishlist computer is on sale and I have enough money to get so I dpn't think I need to worry about this too much.

if you installed yahoo messenger and agreed to install the yahoo toolbar that comes with yahoo messenger (default installation) then there might be a problem with Yahoo toolbar which is causeing IE7 to crash.

like corsair said - download and use firefox... way better than IE7

Cheesy Sorry that's $70 + $760 in the bank. Then I'll save up for a new video card.

The sale is through Wednesday...I hope I don't like, get there and they close up  Sad Bleh, something happened to this laptop where only IE7 and Yahoo! Messenger can access the internet. Nothing else and only one of the two IE7 or YM can use the internet. Not the router...*digs through Registry*
