A Nikon D40x or a trip to Europe for 2 weeks?

Obviously the ideal situation would bring the former along to the latter.

Yeah, it kinda hit me last night when I looked at my finances.  If I were to go to Europe, I would have to get some money help other wise there would be no xmas presents, tuition payments, or flying.  I have untill Monday, I'll see if I can twist somebodys arm for some moolah

Reality check here.........

Holidays are fine, although expensive if you let them get that way........can be taken anytime within work schedules........and a variety of places can be explored and remembered......if you have a camera, even one that is a little outdated, you'll still bring back some memories......... Cool

Without a camera, whether it good or old and still working, you'll pass by moments in time which are gone forever and cannot be recaptured.........not just holiday moments, all moments of time......... Cry

So to answer your question, do you have what you need to aid that fading memory or will you remember the holiday forever clearly ?......... Embarrassed

Travel as much as you can while you still can, don´t care for material values. The best memoires are stored in your head.

Decision made.

You might aswell but a kodak disspossable if you are planning on a d40x IMO.

Lol don't listen to me, I like Canons.

I'd say travel, you can always buy a camera later.

As a matter of fact, the last time I traveled to Europe, I took some amazing shots with cheepo disposable.

I fell in love with Nikons after I bought my coolpix.
