It probably won't help much for the stress of crunching video, but there are laptop coolers out there; not expensive, either:

Beware, the heat will warm your beers...
Decsions, decisions...
Warm beer and laptop working ok, or nice cold beer and screwed computer.

The video editing can wait I'm afraid  Grin  Cool

I have used one, but they don't work as well as they say.

I am affraid that the laptop is choked up with way too much dust, it is dual core, with one tiny fan. Speedfan doesn't work, there are no sensors on my fan Sad  Maybee a can of CO2 will clear things up.

Untill then I use a laptop stand...and if it gets realy hot, I place a small usb fan underneath.
