I was there for the DevCon2007, and just stayed for the first few hours. I didn't see teh AirSimmer table.

I voted default. I'm NOT paying money to get something that will probably be too big for my tiny 14 yearold brain to handle. I think the default is good enough, although there are not as many addons as there are with the PMDG 747.

I'm 15 and can use PMDG 747 fine even on VATSIM.
As long as you're prepared to learn it, then go for it. But a word of warning, ONLY get it if you like flying large jets on long routes, if you're just using it as a VFR plane then you're going to waste your time.
