It definitly seems you'll have someone down the end of the pitlane you know well.

Since this seems no differant to what Mclaren were punished for* Renault might aswell start throwing away non essential tools.
On the plus side any punishment would mean Williams would move up to 3rd in the constructors standing, anyone think they might break out the red 5 next year?
* I say punished for, as its quite clear they were guilty of more but since Bernie wanted a show they were let off certain things.
Just a side note, I posted this seperatly from Eno's post as it deals more with the people involved rather than the situation itself.

Maybe if they sterilised all the F1 factories tomorrow and have independant inspectors going through with a fine toothcomb then all the teams would end up at the other end next year...
...I bet they're all as guilty as each other...

Here are the first ones then
"At least 15 engineers at Renault knew about the McLaren technical information that is at the centre of the latest spy investigation"

Judging by Renault's performance I doubt they actually used any of the info...

Or maybe Mclaren deliberatly fed the information to Renault knowing how bad their own car was, while using the Ferrari information to build a fast car.

LOL.
One thing I found funny today.
The FIA were responding to a comment Damon Hill made about the Toyota incident a few years back and how they wern't punished for having Ferrari documents.
The FIA replied saying that, they wern't punished because Ferrari never made an official complaint, and that if there is no dispute between the teams then the FIA will not do anything.
So with that comes the question, why not make a rule saying all the teams must make public, designs and ideas to the other teams, For a price. That way small teams save money on Research and developement and the big teams rake in the cash from each other with their fancy design ideas. And will end up with a grid of cars all looking the same.
(yes i know it would never work)

his information was part of a number of floppy disks that engineer Phil Mackareth brought with him to the Enstone team from McLaren in September 2006.
Gawd they can't be that technically advanced if they are still using floppy discs
