Nice shots Steve, I'm sure you used a Tripod for these, shows the difference from FSNovice shots, although I like the effect that the movement gives his shots.  Mark

mark, these shots are better in terms of clarity, you need to remember that my shots were taken from a busy crowd situation so a tripod was inappropriate and crazy!!!!

nice shots Steve

FsNovice, I realized yours were hand held, I was just pointing out the two different effects that you can get, I like the hand held shots and the way that it blur's the colors. Mark

Thanks folks, I did indeed use a tripod, I just found a quieter spot at the edge of the crowd. If you want to use a tripod don't let a crowd put you off. Act like you own the place and be creative in finding a good clear location, then let everyone else keep the hell out of your way  Wink

If you act like you know what you are doing, then people will probably give you some space, whether you really do or not  Grin

I got some more close up shots of the fireworks whch worked pretty well, but I liked the foreground effect in a couple of these. The second one for example was a 10sec exposure. Impossible hand held, and had the effect of catching the reflected light and picking out the colour in the trees.

I may post a couple of the close up firework ones too,

Steve
