Hi

Has anyone installed FSX Acceleration and had problems with sea textures in X Graphics or Ultimate Terrain X USA?

Thanks.

Yeah, I had to uninstall Acceleration, that being more of the main reason. My graphics went from awesome to beyond awful, and then I checked the "try out DX 10" box, and it got even worse. I had trees sparkling, heat shimmers on the horizon, distortions in the mid-range areas - I thought I was gonna go blind looking at all that. Then on top of all that, I had the stopping and studdering that definately was not there before. I don't know whether to sell this crap on ebay or just wait for another patch. Hmmm...  Huh A patch for a patch for a patch... I... think  Undecided Well, anyway, I was able to uninstall acceleration successfully and everything went back to way it was before. I run FSX w SP1 and both UTXUSA & XG/ASX with no problems again. I have extremely sharp trees up close and far away, and the horizon is sharp without any heat shimmers or distortions. ASX and the stock clouds look great in the day and night times again also. I haven't used XG that much, but I bought the ASX/XG bundle just to compare UTXUSA and XG and they're both a bit different here and there, but equally as awesome in my opinion. By the way, I'm running a single, dual core processor w 4G's memory, an NVidia 8500GT, and a 320G hardrive that's a year old, so anybody with a newer, better system should have better results without Acceleration. Bill Gates oughtta be ashamed of himself... Semper Fi, Dave
