I just downloaded the PMDG 747X, love it so far, but I have 1 thing about it....
- GPS does not work in it.
But the GPS does not work with my Ifly747 also. may be the same button for both if any one knows.
Is there something different you have to do with these to get them to work?
Also I was in the FAQ for FS9 regarding the 747 operations for FSX, and I can't find the button config for it any wear. So as of now I can't open the doors like I want to.

You'll have to read the manual thoroughly in order to be able to run this 747...It's probably as real as it possibly could get...I'd suggest printing out the SOP's and using them as you go through the flight

You have to program the Flight Management Computer. It doesnt work like the GPS you get with default planes but you will love it more once you get the hang of it. Look for a tutorial online.

Primary navigation in the modern 747 (and 777, and 767, and 757, etc.) is the INS (Inertial Navigation System).
The Garmin unit you are used to seeing in FS is not a primary navigation instrument. It does display lots of neat things great for situational awareness, like airspace and terrain features, but is really not optimized to be a primary reference. The systems in the heavy metal birds are highly optimized to fly the A to B profile, they are designed to display the planned route and nothing else (though you can optionally turn on references to other VORs and airports and such things). They can do this because they make the assumption that you are always on an IFR flight plan and thus never have to worry about airspace which is an assumption you cannot make in a GA plane.
This system comes with some extra setup steps that you'll need to, as mentioned previously, dive into the documentation to figure out. Setting up the FMS is a big part of it. That system is integral to the way modern airliners operate. Also, depending on the level of detail of the sim, there are usually some setup steps to do on the ground with the INS to align the system.

If your using the default GPS in a PMDG simulation then I can tell you, you have just wasted your money.
PMDG is the most realistic cockpit environment you can get, read the manual, use the FMC

That's because the 747 doesn't have a GPS system?
It has an inertial navigation system that should display information similar to a GPS system. For use on this, READ THE MANUAL. I'm sorry but the only way to fly the PMDG 747 realistically and enjoyably, is if you fly by the book using the manual. If you don't they you wasted your money.
It usually takes newbies to payware aircraft sometime to learn how to use the FMC however. Get an online guide for that.

The PMDG 744, like most 744 counterparts, has a dual GPS system.
IRS is also present but is not used as the primary navigation source, it comes behind GPS position and DME-DME updating.
The important function of the Inertial system is to feed pitch, roll and slip information etc to the autoflight system.
Remember that the Inertial System comprises of accelerometers and a stable platform (a gyro), which can sense the acceleration of 1/1000g.
It is this information that is displayed on the PFD/ND.
However there is an option to inhibit GPS and navigate solely by radio/inertial, but there's no need to do that in normal OPS.

Ok thanks for the help, but I have no idea where the manuals are since I downloaded it? I have the Load Manager short cut, but I have not located the rest of it.
*edit* I found it now, just need to shortcut it.
And I know that the PMDG is as realistic as it gets, That was the main reason that I bought it. I just wanted the GPS for touch and goes nothing more, I'm still trying to get the hang of FSX, so the GPS is giving me a feel for the runways, as I pick out witch air ports have fuel trucks, long runways, and general good areas to fly in, not depending on it as my end all happy box. Like I said I was just wanted it so I can get used to how the plane feels before I start doing real stuff.
