Just dug out the ol' fire pit to make the most of the few remaining dry nights. I always like a nice fire & a few beers.
Getting the old girl fired up:
Piling on the pressure:
A few beers later:
Job done.

Not much is better than a few beers around a warm fire late in the year.
A good friend of mine used to do winter barbeques each year, I have to say they used to be so much more fun than summer ones... something about the warmth of the fires (he had a few going at once, very similar to yours) versus the cold winter air.
And the Jerk chicken he used to cook would keep you warm for the night anyway... fire or no fire
So when are we all coming to chez TSC for the party?

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

I gotta agree on your idea of a relaxing night, I love enjoying a few cold ones around a fire, usually burn one in my grill since i dont have a pit
