This is my second post on this topic.  I have the Abacus Airbus A380.  When I press the "load" (flightplans) button on the FMC,
the screen goes black, followed by an "error" message 20 seconds later.  I have to restart Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004.
If anyone can help me with this, I would appreciate it.  The airplane is a very good version, but I cannot access the stored flightplans,
which makes it much easier to program the FMC.
I have uninstalled, then reinstalled this program.  The same result occurs.
If you can tell me how to alter a file, I will do that if necessary.  Please give me clear instructions.
    Thank you.

Quick tip: NEVER buy any planes from Abacus, you can now see why. Undecided

As for the problem, it sounds like it's probably a corrupt file, sorry, but I do not know how to deal with these other than replacing the corrput version with a working version, but I do not know where you can get that.

Just let me reiterate that quick pointer, as it is important: NEVER buy any planes from Abacus.

liketofly - have you checked with Abacus?  Maybe they can help you diagnose your problem better.  I've not had problems with the A380 - nor any other Abacus aircraft.

You bring a good point, and I am the first to admit that some of Abacus'  older models were not up to latest standards.  However, I also have to recognize that most Abacus packages offer several airplanes, generally built by diofferent modellers, plus scenery and an adventure/mission of sorts.  So the object of the package is not necessarily an ultra detailed model, but an accurate model with which the user can carry out the purpose of the package (Civil Air PAtrol, etc.,etc).

The funny thing is that a variation of the models is usually released by the modeller as freeware, and usually they're well received!
