I saw one example without a craft-are we able to do just clouds alone in an environment? the reason I ask is because the rules partially say to contain an aircraft yet the example doesn't...

Yah since nobody really answered me I'll just go with the example and post one of my new ones without the aircraft. I don't know how much time I'll have to get any new ones in. Though Eno's already won... Grin

The only person who can answer it is JNC - he's the judge. To be honest, it says in the rules clouds and aircraft, and I've yet to see an awesome cloudscape that doesn't look even better with an aircraft in it... but perhaps you could PM him if you'd like an answer.
