Hi all,

My Grandads has a collection of LPs I went around his house the other day, and I saw a pile of old records, I asked him what he was going to do with them.

He said he was going to give them away...

So I had a look though and found some Elvis and Slade records in there, Ive heard that Elvis records can go for a far bit...

The ones he has are...

-GI Blues

-Flaming Star and Summer Kisses...which from a short buzz on the Internet I think is worth £75

-Elvis 40 Greatest Hits

and also there were some Slade albums in there forgotten the names...

Any Help on pricing these records is appreachated I think the other two are worth around £10...

I'm pretty keen to sell them because...hes says I can put the money towards driving lessons Cheesy

I have a friend who deals in vinyl LP records. Unfortunately I don't see him much now or I could ask him. He once told me that with a few exceptions most pop records aren't worth very much at all. Even with comparatively rare examples a lot depends on the condition of the records & the sleeves. With Elvis Presley records the label is important as many have been re-issued on budget labels over the years. I have no idea but it's quite possible that the Slade records would be worth more. In the end you have to find someone interested in buying them.

Sorry this is not much help. I wish you luck with it.

Vinyl records are only worth anything if they're in good nick, no scratches etc.. and also the cover can be worth more than the record itself... You may have a mint record but if the cover/sleeve is dog eared it devalues it straight away.

I think I can buy those Elvis albums for less than 5 Euro each in a secondhand store. About the Slade albums, I don't know. They might be for free.
