I've been a FS2004 user for a long time but I just picked up my copy of FSX Deluxe + Acceleration today.

The FSX Install went fine.  At the end of the install, it asked me if I was new to fs, returning to fs of a pilot.  I choose the pilot, got a scripted video and landed a 172 at Oschosh(spelling?).

I then installed the Acceleration Expansion.  Since that, I get a black screen when trying to fly.   When I choose a plane, the 3d render is a black box.   The simulation is working because I can hear the sounds and the throttle works.

I'm running XP SP2.I'm using a Gf7900GT with latests drivers (just downloaded 163.71_forceware_winxp_32bit_english_whql.exe and the problem persists).

Anyone had the same problem?

Had to do re-installs of FSX and acceleration myself last night, and the same thing happened to me. I just shut the prog down the normal way and re-started. After that, it ran fine.

Can't speak for others, but I just installed FSX, ran it once, then installed Acceleration. I let FSA worry about the patches for me.

I've uninstalled Acceleration and FSX is working fine now.

I'll reinstall Acceleration and see if it works.

Thanks!
