Imagetool is an alternative to DXTbmp, isn't it?

Well, it's rather the other way around, actually!

Imagetool.exe is the MS/ACES graphics tool.

DXTBMP.exe is Martin Wright's freeware graphics tool.

Both are extremely valuable. I use DXTBMP.exe a lot during development, but use Imagetool.exe for finished, commercial product release, as DXTBMP.exe does have a small problem with "artifacting" and "image degradation" at times.

I have a question on this also.  Wink

I DO have Photoshop and I am trying to learn to repaint also but my problem is, whenever I try to open-up any repaint file in PS it tells me the document could not be opened due to disk error. What am I doing wrong?

If it is not working, it could be because the scheme is in DXT format.  All you have to do is go to Save, and scroll down the list and save it as a extended bit.  Then you could work on it.

Thanks. Yeah, I figured that out last night. I got DXTbmp and now I can convert them.
