River God by Wilbur Smith. Although in Dutch the title would translate as Valley of the Kings. It's a story based on ancient texts found in a tomb in Egypt. The story tells about the life of Taita, a slave who became one of the most powerful people in Egypt. Just finished the book. Going to buy the second part today.

Richard Hammond: On the edge.

I've just started it, it comes across as a lazy afternoon read; ie one lazy afternoon and you've read it. Seems to be a good read though, if a little light.

You mean Richard Hammond from the "Top Gear" show????
