Actually, that video was not a crash test, it was a test designed to see which fuel tanks ruptured first/worst so that a company could try to develop a method for stopping fuel leaks in a crash (hence the coloured water
)
They filled each tank with a different colour dye, and observed the results. I believe the connie was testing KEVLAR liners. As you can see they didn't work too well

They did several of these tests.
One tested a flexible fuel tank casing. Result - failure
Another tested a thicker-consistency fuel to see if it would 'spray' less than normal aviation fuel. Result - failure. The thicker consistency fuel didn't 'spray' as much but it 'spattered' instead - much like what would happen if you blew up a pot of hair gel.
There may have been more.
