Through an odd turn of events, I got FS9 for my birthday (uninstalling FSX and going down to FS9) but DISK 4 is, well, scratched and won't install water textures, autogen scenery, paris and phoenix. I bought it new off amazon.com. NEW. So (coincidentaly ignore spelling) I bought another FS9 (ebay) without knowing I had the other FS9 coming from a relative. So the amazon FS9 comes, installs, have the disk 4 issues so I decided to wait until my other FS9 came and just use the other disk. Turns out that the "other FS9" is actually an FS9 GUIDEBOOK! HOW ANNOYING IS THAT??????? Basically is a paper form of the FS9 tutorial. I am SO mad because I am stuck with a disk and a guidebook with NO RETURN POLICIES. What do I do??????

Is it me or Flight Sim is just a line of bad luck for you. Grin First with FSX then again with FSX can't install and now FS9.

Simple. Ask questions and read terms & conditions before commiting to buy.

Best to go out and buy a fresh copy from a local game store...That way, if it doesn't work you can actually go back and smack the guy who sold it to you Wink

Sorry to hear that, but this is just confusing. The way it's worded it seems you bought 1 from Amazon, 1 from eBay, and had 1 presented as a birthday gift.

I'm pretty sure that if you telephone microsoft, tell them you have a corrupted/scratched disk 4 they'll replace it for you, free of charge... provided you send them the damaged one.

Sorry about making it seem like there were 3. Just 2. I'll ask a local game store if they have any. I sold FSX for $30, bought the strategy guide for $10 and FS9 was a gift. I have another $20 lying around here somewhere. Most likely to find it at Best Buy. Maybe GameStop.

Best Buy's seem to have a whole lotta stuff just layin' around in the back room...come to think of it, I haven't checked their giant shelves of PC games for it. I found FS2002 and X in Target once. I don't think I would get it from Gamestop though, kinda overpriced. ($70 for FSX!?!?! Try eBay $20)  Tongue
