Here's something I took a while back. I'd really like some critcal analysis of the shot, so have no mercy..it lies before you naked and crying.. Wink
Have the "wings cut off look" that so many of us (myself not included) are critical of, been used effectively? Obvious that aliasing is a bit of an issue here...oversharpened I think..effective use of light, weather look realistic? Drama?

I think the background looks great, quite abstract graphic art.... cutting off parts of the plane is no problem with me, as long as you do it decisively rather than by accident. However the plane itself lacks detail and has ugly straight sides and wings - different plane, much better shot  Smiley

A difficult aircraft to get a good result from. The plane is slab sided and has strong straight lines defining it's shape. To picture this against three runways (with lights) that also have straight edges makes it hard for the viewer to feel comfortable looking at it. This is made harder by the lighting on the fuselage, again very straight edged. A fix could have been using a little mist or thin fog to soften the lines and steer the viewers eye into the picture. There is a little light reflection on the water that could also be increased to enhance the effect.
I like to see parts of an aircraft cropped off - it can add a great sense of depth.
