One BIG "tree", instead of lots of lil' ones.... (Read 273 times)

How hard on frame-rates would it be, if I (or someone else) were to "G-Max up" one large "tree"  to represent a large forest, instead of having a whole bunch (but never enough) of autogen trees. Wouldn't it be easier for the sim to render one large object instead of lots of little ones?

Yes, it could be easier, but.........
You will have to model many many different forests, as everyone contains different trees and is different in it's boder's shape.
Next, you will have to completely make new autogen libraries for all the world!

Do you really want to do that? I guess you'll find nobody to help you.....  Tongue Wink
